Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer is an official expansion pack created by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Atari. The pack's story is a follow-up of the events in the original Neverwinter Nights 2. After the events with the King of Shadows, you wake up at a strange location, where a wizard asks you to go to a nearby town, and, not to spoil the story, the player agrees. From this point on, the player finds him/herself in an excellent story with an amazing narrative.
The story is a big asset of this expansion pack. As in any other expansion pack, one expects loads of new stuff. In this, you get a new level cap, increased from 20 to 30, as well as three new races and new classes. Also, there are new graphics and creatures to fight in brand new zones. The only downside of the game is its occasional bugs, as well as some annoying camera angles. In the end, this expansion pack proves to be a good example of how the further packs should be made. Any owner of Neverwinter Nights 2 must have it. |
